The participation of women in business life has led to tension between domestic responsibilities, which have long been associated with women, and professional life. This study discusses the mentioned tension factor from the perspective of the genderbased division of labor. In the study, the implementations and vulnerabilities in Turkey associated with the accommodation of business and family lives are analyzed in terms of the sharing of family responsibilities, as the primary factor restricting the participation of women in business life, with men and the state. The study concludes that policies aimed at ensuring that women can accommodate both their work and family lives together are lacking, and that in essence, have no transformative impact on gender perception.
