In this research while examining the Prophet’s (pbuh) migration from Mecca to Medina, the sources of al-Sira and Islamic history were used as reference. Mecca city-state thinking the Prophet’s (pbuh) religious activities could be a threat to its future increased the oppression and intimidation policies ant this caused impossible to live there for Muslims. For this reason, a new era began forProphet Muhammad (pbuh), with his accept the invitation of the groups from Medina. In the study, it was concluded that the Prophet, who learned the death warrant for himself by way of his aunt, immediately left the city and reached the Cave of Thawr for diversion and when the dust settles he went to Medina after a long and arduous journey. In this context it was concluded that hegira was a sacred migration as a result of Prophet’s (pbuh) human characteristic away from miraculous and legendary narrations.
