Metaphores are figurative expressions that are formed by using a term in a different way, preferred metaphors to improve the meaning, to add beauty to the narrative. Food, one of the concepts used as a metaphor, is one of the new topics examined in the literature. In this study, it is aimed to present a compilation study about food metaphors found in literature. For this purpose, it was preferred to examine the document as a data collection tool. As a result of the researches, 7 studies have been reached in domestic literature and 18 studies in foreign literature. Among the works, two of them have puplished thesis, one of them is publication type book, and the remaining 22 are articles. 52% of their work is that examine food metaphors used in literary texts. There are also conceptual studies and linguistic comparisons of food metaphors.
