brahim inasi Efendi (1826-1871) is one of poets of first generation of Tanzimat period. Turkish poetry begins to change from the aspect of the form and content in the Tanzimat literature. This examples of change is be seen in the poetries of inasi, especially in the qasidas that he composed on Reid Pasha (1798-1858) as in other poets of preiod. In this article has been dealt with and analyzed a qasida, consist of sixteen couplets that inasi composed for Reid Pasha in 1274 / 1858. Poet has praised the various characteristics of Reid Pasha with his poetic language. While qasida is analyzed from literary aspect, it has put forth both the innovations of form and content of poetry, and the characteristics of Reid Pasha as person praised.
