In this study, the content of the spiritual counseling and guidance service to be given to the prisoners in penal institutions was emphasized. Spiritual counseling and guidance service to prisoners and convicts in penal institutions is one of the important fields for those who work in this field. It is aimed to bring back the people to the society who regret the crimes they committed and decide not to commit similar crimes again. Prison preachers in Turkey also provide spiritual counseling and guidance services. But spiritual counseling and guidance is completely different from providing information or fatwa on religious matters. Therefore, the findings of many prison preachers working in the field both in the West and in our country ascertain that religion plays a very important function in the solution of crime and criminal problems and rehabilitation of criminals in prison environment. For this reason, it is important to review and organize the spiritual counseling and guidance services to be given to detainees and convicts in our country. Our study was conducted with five adult male convicts studying at ?skilip Vocational School using the in-depth interview technique called ‘Unstructured Interview ’or‘ Ethnographic Interview’
