Described as a chronic and neurological disease, alzheimer is a long, difficult and stressful process. This process is continued with the illness that is irreversible and tends to progress, with various difficulties for the caregivers. Whit this study it is aimed to reveal the problems and the coping skills which are elderly and especially the caregivers of the elderly induviduals. Also, information about alzheimer's patients and their families is important in terms of determining the situations faced by patients and their families, the attitude of the society and the services that are lacking in this field. In the data collection process of this phenomenological research, the experiences of 11 family members who live in Sakarya province and who care for the elderly with Alzheimer's disease were compiled by making use of semistructured interviews. By analyzing and interpreting the data obtained, psychological, social, economic, spiritual, and care-related problems have been revealed.
