The year 1946 has been the starting point towards a multi-party period of the Republic of Turkey. Undoubtedly, this step toward a democratic goverment prompt, the press has shown itself over in the most vivid manner. The expression of many ideas difficult to be said and written under the administration of a single party until then has caused a major mobilization in the press. This period is turbulent and vivid for containing a dilemma including some positive steps as well as some restrictions over the press, concurrently. In the first year of the period where there is an increase in the number of dissenting publications against the government of The Republican People’s Party (CHP), the newspaper, Yeni Türkiye, enters into the publishing world and continues its dissenting policy against CHP in its brief press period.
