The aim of this research is to examine the mediating role of lifelong learning trends in relation to the level of professional readiness of perceptions of academic self-efficacy of prospective teachers. Relational screening method was used in the study. The study was conducted among the cohort of 3327 students who received training in Atatürk Faculty of Education affiliated to Marmara University during the spring semester of 2017-2018 academic year. The sample group of the study consisted of 368 individuals who received training in Atatürk Faculty of Education, selected through stratified sampling method from the study cohort. The data of the study was gathered through 'Personal Information Form', 'Preparedness Scale for Teaching Profession', 'Lifelong Learning Scale' and 'Academic Self - Efficacy Scale'. The analysis of the study were carried out with the help of Mplus and SPSS Amos programs by using the structural equality model. The results of the study determined that the teacher candidates had a role as a partial mediator of the lifelong learning tendencies in relation to their professional readiness levels of their academic self-efficacy perceptions.
