Thescope of theresearchcoverstheTurkishlanguageteachercandidates. ItssamplecomprisestheTurkishlanguageteachercandidatesstudying at InonuUniversity. Concerninggendervariable 126 of thestudents (63.0%) arefemalewhile 74 of them (37.0%) aremale. Interms of classvariable 50 of them (25%) areyear 1. 50 (25%) 2. 50% (25%) 2. 50 (25%) 3 and 50 (25%) are 4thyearstudents. Thedata of theresearch is gainedthroughthe “level of speechanxiety” scaledevelopedby Sevim (2012). Thedataacquired in theresearchwasanalyzedusing SPSS (Statistical PackageforSocialSciences) for Windows 21.0 programme. The level of speech anxiety of the Turkish language teacher candidates is weak.When their speech anxiety is evaluated for the classes it is observed that the level of speech anxiety of the 2nd year students is higher than that of students in other years. It is seen that speech anxiety is not a determinant factor in terms of gender.
