A STUDY ON THE REFLECTIONS OF ESOTERIC SYMBOLS IN MEDIEVAL, RENAISSANCE, 19TH CENTURY AND CONTEMPORARY ART

In this article, the examples that are thought to be carrying esoteric interests and contexts in Middle Ages, Renaissance, 19th Century and contemporary art are mentioned. In this regard, the works in the Middle Ages and Renaissance period are tried to be analyzed by utilizing the opportunities of the iconographic approach, while the paintings made by the 19th century and later artists are examined through semiotic approach. In this context, this anthological-quality article consisting of artists and works that the researcher has been influenced in his own artistic life evaluates the concept of esoterism through the esoteric symbols in the works of the artists included in the study.
