The Qur'an strictly commands obedience to the Prophet, accepting what he has brought, and prohibits objecting to him. Companions of the Prophet who were friends of the Prophet, were very sensitive in this regard. However, in the following periods, attempts to abricate hadith emerged for various reasons. For this reason, Muslims who have not seen the prophet and his companions have developed various criteria to determine whether the Hadith is true or not. One of the important topics of discussion during this period is whether one person should act with the news (khabar wahid). This discussion took place among scholars, as well as among sects. Shi‘a is a sect with partially different criteria than the traditionists (muhaddiths) regarding the acceptance or rejection of hadiths. Tusi is one of the most important muhaddiths raised by this sect. Unlike Murtaza who his teacher, he said it is permissible to act with the news of one person (khabar wahid) and attached the acceptance of the news to some conditions. According to him, the fact that the news is reasonable, that it is suitable for the Qur'an, that it is suitable for the sunnah and that it is suitable for the ?jma of Shia, it makes its meaning valid if not the hadith words.
