After the Ottoman recession in 1878, administration of the Islamic foundations in Cyprus had been implemented with the interests of Great Britain, instead of the Islamic rules, by the colonial government of the island. The main constraction of the Islamic foundations of Cyprus,. have been spoiled because of those implemantations from the begining of the 20th century. It should be said that not only the British rulers, but even the leaders of the Turkish Community of the island and Ottoman autorities could be accused about the situation as well. Turkish Community of the Cyprus have lost a great part of the ownership on properties in the island and the “other” community had some benefits on the land ownersihps, as a conclusion of these policies.
