Atatürk was a leader who knew and appreciated the facts of his country. He did not only had ideas for bringing Turkey above the level of contemporary civilizations, he transformed them into acts.Ataturk regarded the foundation of the national economy as agriculture, and he gave great importance to development in agriculture. In order to achieve this important goal it was appropriate to establish a serious agriculture policy and identified the main principles for the development of Turkish agriculture. Atatürk's agriculture policy was practical, and encouraging. Since private enterprise had no capital accumulation at that time, the policy was based on the premise of increasing state efficiency, supporting and developing private enterprise. The social policy as well as the agricultural policy carried out under the leadership of Atatürk became one of the cornerstones of the steps taken to modernize the Republic of Turkey. Statements and speeches by statesmen can be exploited in many ways. With their speeches and statements, one can have a chance to learn clearly the ideas and thoughts of those people and their perspectives on specific events. As a matter of fact, it can be expressed that the speeches and statements reflect the socio-economic and cultural structure of that country. The speeches and statements are a source that reveals the thoughts of Atatürk in a unique way and allows him to be recognized more clearly.In this study; on the axis of the speeches and statements made by Atatürk at various times and places, his agriculture policy will be tried to be analyzed
