Cyber bullying is expressed as the dissemination of messages that will distress and embarrass people through new communication technologies and cyber bullying includes problems arising from the misuse of new media. As new communication technologies, especially mobile technologies, are accessible and used by everyone at a very young age, and the time spent on the Internet increases, people of all ages and all sexes can face the problem of cyber bullying. At first people who face cyberbullying do not understand that this is a digital violence in other words cyber bullying. They perceive the situation as a joke or fun. With the spread of the message on the Internet, the damage caused by the so-called joke or entertainment is manifested. This situation leads to more severe results in school-age students. In this study, the conceptual framework of cyberbullying, causes of increase in digital violence (ease of access to the internet, anonymity of the Internet and the identity of the people to increase the number of likes of their shares, etc.), awareness of cyberbullying (the presentation of cyberbullying in the media, the opinions of the teachers in the media, cyberbullying) the importance of new media literacy and suggestions on how cyberbullying can be prevented
