It is aimed to introduce its natural beauty and ecological characteristics for tourism. The flooded forest side is 36 km form Samsun city so it is very easy to access. The dominant plant types of the forest area are ash tree (Fraxinus) and alder (Alnus). The forest area is flooded for 10 months in a year, and the depth of the water exceeds 1-2 m when the groundwater level is maximum in spring season. The flooded forest has 1.4 km2 area and 35 kind of birds. At the same time, reed, straw, and goga have economic value so they have been exporting abroad. Also, native water buffalo husbandry is common around the flooded forest area. Thus, yoghurt and other milk products are produced. The flooded forest should be used for tourism purposes after required implications for preserving ecology.
