This survey, has been researched on the purpose of on mentally retarded children based on music therapy with musical instruments. During in this survey, imposed on so many source. In addition, the various treatments used abroad within music therapy methods, based on mentally disabled children with any musical instrument what kind of treatment method used is examined. Then, these instruments are classified and investigated common or rare instruments designated and what kind of instruments are used in a method. Also follow on the subject of the organizations operating the instrument and the music therapy-based studies. In the study, five different music therapy globally accepted method is studied and have been made a various suggestions on the instrument-assisted to mentally handicapped children on the benefits of music therapy.
