The aim of this study is to determine the research trends about school counselors by examining the graduate theses prepared in Turkey. For this purpose, full text accessible graduate theses in the system of Higher Education Council (YÖK) National Center for Thesis were examined and 56 master and 5 doctorate theses completed between 2000-2017 were covered in the research. While examining the theses, a "Thesis Review Form" developed by the researchers containing 7 different themes; thesis type, year, subject, research method, study group, study group size and statistical techniques, was used. In the study, graduate theses were examined using qualitative research methods using content analysis within the scope of the document review. According to the results obtained, it has been viewed that the researches in this area were made in 2006 and 2011 at most, followed by 2007, 2010 and 2014. It is observed that the majority of the theses are in the form of descriptive research followed by relational and qualitative researches. It was concluded that, the study groups were formed mainly by counselors followed by teachers and classroom guidance teachers. The group sizes were observed to concentrate between 201-600 people. Moreover, the most commonly used statistical techniques in those theses were t test, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and ANOVA. In the theses, it has been seen that the most studied subjects were about the burnout level of school counselors, professional satisfaction, self-efficacy, personality traits, professional roles, stress, counselor perception and guidance program, respectively.
