AN INVESTIGATION ON THE TEMMUZIYE IN THE “DIVAN-I FEHIM-I KADIM"

Temmuziye is a literary genre of which the subjects are july or summer. Especially, the hot weather of july is described in detail in Temmuziye. The poet focuses on negative the effects of temperature over the nature, living ceatures and human beings. The descriptions related to the sun are also narrated. In this paper, Temmuziye in “Divan Fehim-i Kadin” is analyzed. The types of this genre are explained. The style of the poet related to the subject is analyzed.
