Societies have experienced various migrations throughout human history. Millions of Syrians, who were forced to leave their
country as a result of internal conflicts, started an international migration flow. Syria's neighbor Turkey, which is one of the most
affected countries in this process has been the most refugee hosting countries in the world in ten years. Massive wave of migration took
refuge in Turkey; It has brought with it many changes and problematic issues in demographic, economic, social and cultural fields.
Accommodation, employment, education, health and cultural reception are the prominent problem areas Syrians face after the
migration action. The approaches of actors such as the state, local administrations and civil society organizations regarding these
problem areas are extremely important for the social adaption of Syrians who have evolved into permanence. Izmir is Turkey's
metropolitan cities, an important transit center for Syrian immigration to Europe is aiming to pass both a city settled by the Syrians as
well. In this study, the approaches of the state, local government and civil society organizations to the problems faced by the Syrians
living in Izmir on social adaptation were analyzed. Therefore, not only descriptive analyzes regarding the problem areas regarding the
social adaptation of Syrians were made, but also suggestions regarding these problem areas were also listed.
