Abstract

With the recognization of the translation action as the profession both abroad and in our country, it is necessary that translators must also have some basic rights as profession experts. Although this seems a positive development at the beginning, however, translators still have important problems. In this study, we deal with the problems faced by public translators in our country and propose solutions to them. For this purpose, open ended questions were directed to eight translators and interpreters to find out the problems by including a descriptive methodology. The literature as to this topic in our country is still in a ripening process and restricted. From this perspective, we expect that our study contributes to the related literature and has a function to be able to solve the problems as soon as possible.
