Van was introduced with Sufism (Tasawwuf) and sects in early times. However, there has been no compact, serious study addressing the Van’s history of Sufism, relevantmajor sectsand Sufis which were active in there. Even though, there have lately been studies such as “Van Kütü?ü”, “Bizim Eller Van”, “?slâm Me?hurlar? Ansiklopedisi” which partly deal with Sufis from Van, they limitedly addressed the history of Sufism concerning Van and their personalities and did notaddress many of them, as they also include subjects other than Sufism. This situation makes it crucial to conduct studies on the Sufism history of Van. Thisarticle aims to fulfill this need despite partially.
