While transport systems shape and are shaped by societal structures, studying their social implications presents unique challenges. This article examines the methodological, theoretical, and practical obstacles faced by sociologists in analyzing the interplay between transport and society. By addressing these challenges, the paper aims to pave the way for a more integrated understanding of transport's role in shaping social dynamics.
