The aim of this research is to compare the contemporary vocabulary about universe, world, sky, weather events between Turkish and Kazakh languages, which belong to the same language family, in terms of phonetic, structure and semantics. In this way, it is aimed to contribute to the vocabulary interaction between these two languages by making clear the differences and similarities between the vocabularies of these two languages. The method known as comparative linguistics, comparative analysis and language comparison is used to compare vocabulary of languages in terms of sound, structure and semantics. Within the scope of qualitative research, data were collected by document analysis method and tabulated and analyzed in Excel program. According to the findings, the number of words with the sound change was 52, the number of words with the change in structure was 83 and the number of unchanged words was 11.
