Resources making a mention of the Classical Kurdish Literature refer to the influence of ?ranian Literature over the Kurdish literature. In order for the extent of this influence to be understood, it is necessary to compare those two literatures from various aspects. With the purpose of contributing to find out an answer to the question to what extent this interaction stands between these literatures in this study, we will research how Hâf?z-? ?îrâzî, the Iranian poet of gazelle, and Melayê Cizîrî, the Kurdish poet of gazelle make use of love, rose, nightingale, beauty, piety and religious symbols in their divans. Hâf?z-? ?îrâzî is a great Iranian poet who lived in the 14th century while Melayê Cizîrî is one of the greatest poets of the Kurdish literature, who lived in the 17th century, though some arguments still exist. We are well aware that comparing these two great poets in every aspect in an article is not possible. Therefore, in order to have an overall assessment on the subject, we will examine how each poet uses love, rose, nightingale, beauty, piety and religious symbols in their gazelles and we will quote as an example a gazelle from each poet and the prose forms of those gazelles at the end of our article.
