The aim of this study is to determine the difference between the level of science and social studies teacher candidates. The sample of the study consisted of 39 science teacher candidates and 40 social science teacher candidates. “Reflective Thinking Tendency for Teachers and Teacher Candidates” (YANDE) scale developed by Semerci (2007) was used as a data collection tool. In the analysis of data, t-test and descriptive statistics were used in independent groups. According to the research results; social studies teacher candidates' reflective thinking levels were higher than science teacher candidates. The sub-dimensions in the scale were compared separately for the study groups and it is seen that there are differences between groups for some factors while there isn’t difference for some factors.
