Macro-institutional approaches, which are included in the tradition of comparative historical institutionalism, attach importance to the environment as well as efficiency. Based on the classification of the business demands made by Richard Whitley, it is argued that some socio-economically developed countries have business systems and all sector structures are shaped according to these business systems.
