As soon as a person starts his life adventure, he finds himself in the concept of time. While some people think the concept of time as the source of existence, some people live their life, which is consistent with the nature, out of all these arguments on a meaningful and rhythmic level. In this study, the details to make the concept of time, which people will meet in novel readings which is an important element of their aesthetic life, meaningful have been tried to be explained. After the reflections of time, which are connected with the literary texts told before the concept of time, were explained, in general terms it has been focused on the concept of time that exists in and out of the novel. It has been tried to show to which processes the concepts of ‘time of event’, ‘time of narration’, ‘time of writing’, and ‘time of reading’ are connected. The reader must conceive that he/she must have a careful attitude towards the timely concepts which he/she will meet in the process of reading and towards the referrals related with the tenses. Literary text, with the help of holisticity based on a resemblance with the real life, turned the place that ‘time’ occupies into the basic element of fiction with the logic of fictitious world.
