The Internet, introduced and started to be commonly used along with the cutting-edge changes and advances in the science and technology has become an inevitable component in terms of both individuals and the organizations. Along with the benefits and advantages offered by the Internet to the organizations in our today’s modern times, the Internet has also resulted in the formation of various behaviors of the staff (e-mail receiving and sending, downloading and listening to music, watching videos and movies, etc.) This phenomenon called as cyberloafing in the literature refers to the use of Internet and technological means of the organization by the staff within the working hours for the purposes not related with the work. When the studies conducted in relation with the concept are reviewed, it is acknowledged and revealed that the researchers split into two regarding the advantages and disadvantages resulted from the cyberloafing behaviors. The aim of this study is to identify and determine the correlation between the cyberloafing behaviors of the academic and administrative staff employed in Harran University and the labor productivity. The research was conducted by means of a survey with the 414 academic and administrative staff employed in Harran University. As a conclusion of the study conducted, the correlation between the cyberloafing behaviors of the staff and the labor productivity was revealed to be positive and insubstantial.
