Today, increasing poverty, inequalities in income distribution, diseases, migrations, wars and conflicts have become very important and difficult to control social problems for all the countries of the world. These problems, affecting millions of people, make them feel differently in different geographies. It is such that today some parts of the world live in prosperity while others are struggling with social problems that directly threaten human life such as hunger, poverty and infectious diseases. However, sustainable solutions can not be produced for these social problems based on the inequality of the basic income and the imbalance of the distribution of resources. In addition, limited and consumable world resources are rapidly consumed and the natural environment is destroyed by human hands. On the other hand, a global awareness has arisen that the continuation of the consumption of world resources will not allow for a viable world to future generations, and that the existing order is "unsustainable". For this reason, global governments need to act at the global level with the contribution and cooperation of the governments of the world, to determine the targets of sustainable development and to act immediately. In this article, by giving information about the targets set by the global initiatives initiated to realize sustainable development, an analysis of the current state of health and well-being of Turkey will be presented at the centre of basic and sub targets identified in United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Targets Goal 3: “Good Health: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”.
