Dilan and Site Cinema, which are important examples of modern architectural heritage in Diyarbak?r, are structures that preserve their originality significantly. These cinemas have an important place in terms of their location, architectural features, social and cultural values. During the years when Dilan Cinema was active, it not only met the social and cultural needs of Diyarbak?r, but also brought commercial, social and cultural dynamism to the whole region. In addition to film screenings, activities such as concerts, concerts, conferences and meetings were also frequently held in this structure.
Dilan Cinema, which received the title of 'the biggest cinema of the Middle East and the Balkans' when it was built, generally preserved its structural features such as size, plan layout, facade features, window openings, parcel boundaries. The cinema, built as a reinforced concrete carcass, is covered with a roof. However, some halls with large openings were crossed with steel scissors. Dilan and Site Cinema have lost their active use with some changes, just like many cinema buildings whose functions have deteriorated with the introduction of television into social life. Today, most of the commercial units are empty and neglected. In this respect, many technical equipment cannot be used in the building. In this study, the structural problems were tried to be determined by observational and instrumental determinations by considering the current situation of Dilan and Site Cinema, one of the important modern architectural heritage buildings built after the Republic. Damage analyzes were made by documenting the deterioration and damage in all parts of the building with photographs during observational determinations. In the case of damage and deterioration in the bearing elements of the building, the wall radar was used instrumentally to determine the reinforcements in the beams and columns and to determine the current situation.
