This study was carried out in order to determine the users preference of urban space by applying V.E.P technique.In the study, firstly literature search was made about the use of technique and then technique was used to determine the spatial preferences in the city center of Trabzon. Subjects were asked to go to the most in Trabzon city center with their own photographic machines and they wanted to take photographs of open spaces they did not want to go at all. 60 people took photos in the city center. A total of 120 pictures were taken.At the next stage, the frequency of photographing is plotted according to the places and whether they are preferred or not. A total of 6 different venues are photographed for preference, Three of which are parks, and three of which are sitting areas in courts. From these places, 3 parks are preferred. These are Meydan Park (30%), Fatih Park (23.3%) and Ganita Beach Park (20%). In order not to prefer, the living spaces in 4 different interiors are photographed. Participants opted and photographed the most challenging park, Unfavorable places have been sitting places in the by-streets. As a result of the photographs taken by the participants, it has been determined that the most preferred open spaces in the city center are parks (for activities such as chatting, recreation, recreation etc.). The least preferred places were found to be sitting areas in the middle streets because they were not perceived as safe.
