DETERMINATION THE VIEWS OF MIDDLE SCHOOL IN FIELD TEACHERS AND PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS ABOUT GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS, GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS’ EDUCATION AND BILSEM

The study aim to determine the views of middle school in field teachers and primary school teachers about gifted and talented students, their educatin and B?LSEM. The study group of this research comprises of 16 in field teachers and nine classroom teachers working at a middle school and a primary school in Battalgazi county of Malatya province which are determined by using convenience sampling method. In this study carried out by adapting qualitative research principles, data were collected by using special case approch . Collected data were analyzed by the help of using content analysis. With in the scope of definition and features of gifted and talented students, on the definition of being gifted and talented students, while in field teachers mosth attributes to being different and clever, classrom teachers mostly attribute to being extraordinary and asking too much questions. In field teachers and classroom teachers stated that the most important drawbacks are lack of knowledge and lack of in service training. According to the teacher views with in the context of B?LSEM and in the category of working at B?LSEM, both in field teachers and classroom teachers mostly stated that they don’t want to work at B?LSEM. In addition, with in the context of B?LSEM, as part of having education at B?LSEM, both in field teachers and classroom teachers mostly states that they don’t want their childrens have education at B?LSEM. Once and for all, with in the score of B?LSEM, as part of B?LSEM’s shortcomings and suggestions both in field teachers and classroom teachers stated that the teacher selection process is done unfair so it should be more objective.
