In this study I would like to emphasize what is the real meaning of ‘peace’ and ‘war’ in the light of the eminent novel writer, Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. In this particular paper Tolstoy’s work has been taken an example to evulate the developments of the modern times and to shed a light on the meaning of ‘war’ and ‘peace’and human rights with a philosophical view on universal understanding.
