DIVORCE AND WOMEN IN THE TURKISH NOVEL (1960-1980)

Themes related to women holds a place significantly in the Turkish novel from the beginning. In particular, the authors focus on women and women's individual pursuit; furthermore, for females to have discussed according to multiple viewpoints. The authors of the novels have argued on the subject of divorce. The topic of divorce in the novels that the area of the women has mostly been aggrieved in society traces a parallel trend in real reality. Women are dependent on men in which grouped in the masculine identity of economic institutions in a patriarchal society. It has discussed in the novel that this dependence has led to being women as individuals in a free society. The masculine point of view is mostly either lied to the women or violence against the women. In this case, the women character of the novels faced to crossroads that either they endure what they are going through or they divorce then they will start a new life.
