“The culture and architectural heritage” with the emphasis of community coming into prominence in the morphology of historical city/cities hosts the values taking shape over the cultural pluralism pattern created in the edge of community segments and bringing in identity to physical texture of the city. In this context, the awareness of historical urban patterns of Diyarbak?r embodied in the claim of becoming a world heritage has ensured it to be included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List by being accepted with the definition “Diyarbak?r Fortress and Hevsel Gardens Cultural Heritage Landscape” in 2015. Due to “the conflicting environment” taking place in “Suriçi”, Diyarbak?r centering the human-location and environment relationships and representing the spatial memory in the historical plane of the city, the large part of the buildings in this area disappeared so that they would be erased from the memory of the city.
