Six sigma methodology and its tools are becoming very popular for the improvement of key processes of organizations. As six sigma handles the activities with a process based perspective it mostly uses analytical methods and integrates statistical thinking with other improvement tools. The courses that must be taken in order to utilize and benefit from this methodology are “the primary leverage of change” Since the performance of six sigma courses that consists of the subjects “six sigma methodology, statistical methods and other tools” directly affects the project results, the design of a six sigma course gains a great importance and many issues like the expectations of the project participants their experiences and personal qualifications should be taken into consideration while deciding on the course path. The purpose of this study is to find the best ways to integrate the theoretical aspect and the case study applications for the course. The study also covers the results of many given courses with different designs and many weighted combinations of theoretical presentations and case studies.
