There are texts and tracts in poetic, prose or a combination of poetic and prose related to dreams and the dream world in Turkish literature. These texts cited with names such as Hâb-nâme, Hâbiyye, Vâk?-a nâme etc. is based on an event where a dream or where views of a person are told. The Hâb-nâme of the famous writer of the XVII century, Veysî (died 1628) is an important example of this type of work. Hâf?z Abdüllatif Efendi who lived in the XIX century and who undertook the mission of a master in Enderûn-? Hümâyun also wrote a tract in this style. This paper will recount the known life, personality and works of Hâf?z Abdüllatif Efendi and is the subject of the features relating to his style and content of the work. The last section will provide a transcribed text of Hâb-nâme-i Latîf.
