Interest is one of the most important issues of Islamic economics. It is possible to find the details of the interest in the hadiths and the views of the companions who quotes these hadiths. According to these hadiths, the type of interest which is called redundancy interest is also referred to as the interest rate ban. The ban on the exchange of gold in the different purity concerns the redundancy interest. However, according to some studies today, the hadiths about this kind of interest cannot be considered as evidence because they have different meaning contents. We will also try to take into account the rumors that companions have made about the interest and their own views on interest in this work. About this subject, at least, there is some opposition of some companions too. In this case it is necessary to compare these rumors with different contents and to compare the opposite rumors in the light of reason and judgment, without resorting to forced interpretations, and to express the preferable one. When doing this comparison we will try to include elements that can affect the view such as the social and political position of the companion who expressed his opinion, the conditions that he conveyed this word under.
