This study aims to reveal students’ views of creative reading activities applied in the 4th grade Turkish lessons in primary schools. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool. The data collected through face-to-face individual interviews with students were analyzed via content analysis. The analysis revealed four themes as "Views about the process", “Opinions on Texts”, “Opinions about methods and techniques” and “Opinions on creative reading”. In the theme of "Views about the process" creative reading activities were found unusual, entertaining, and intriguing by the students. In the second “Opinions on Texts” theme, students stated that they understood the texts better which they read via the creative reading method, and their willingness to reading increased. In the third theme, which was determined as “Opinions about methods and techniques”, the students stated that creative reading techniques applied in Turkish lessons were difficult at first but as they were unusual, they were more memorable. In the last theme, “Opinions on creative reading”, almost all of the students who compared their previous reading activities with creative reading activities stated that they had fun during creative reading activities and they were always eager to perform these practices. As a result, most of the students who participated in this study expressed that they started to like reading thanks to applied creative reading practices.
