Dynamic geometry software, which enables trial and illusion activities to be realized in mathematics teaching, gains importance. The most important of these software is Geogebra. The aim of this research is to evaluate the opinions of 8th grade students about the use of Geogebra software in mathematics teaching. Within the scope of this aim, 32 students studying in 8th grade in Ankara province have been trained and practices have been carried out within the framework of activities related to accompaniment and similarity. At the end of these applications, an evaluation form consisting of 4 open-ended questions developed by the researchers was applied to the students. The special case approach was used in the research. In this context, considering that the subject of accompaniment and similarity is suitable for developing materials in this field, this subject has been determined for the mathematics teaching process. Descriptive research methods were used to analyze the data, and the data obtained from open-ended questions are exemplified in the findings section. According to the results of the research, it was seen that the students had positive opinions about the use of GeoGebra, the Geogebras made the learning processes enjoyable, they made it easier to perceive by embodying the mathematical terms and they made the learning permanent
