The concept of health communication is important for creating awareness of the situations that will adversely affect the health of the society. Panic environment can occur in the face of a sudden health threatening situation and any misbehavior can further increase the risk of health. Therefore, public awareness can be ensured through the right channels and the right information transfer. In order to prevent infectious diseases affecting the society in general, both health institutions and organizations and society should act in cooperation. In this sense, private hospitals use a variety of methods to raise awareness through communication studies and to direct social behavior at the same time. These methods can be educational, supported by expert opinions, or point out that many factors that may threaten the society if positive behavior change does not occur For this purpose, the instagram posts of the five private hospitals in istanbul with the highest followers are examined between 11 March 2020 and 11 April 2020, which correapomds to the time interval after the date that coronavirus epidemic was declared as "Pandemic" by the World Health Organization. The instagram posts that aims to raise awareness and reveal the measured that must be taken against the pandemic are examined in this study. In line with these examinations, it was evaluated with the qualitative research method within the scope of models used in health communication. By taking samples from the shares of private hospitals operating in Istanbul, the Combi Model, which is the health communication models, was examined in line with the Precede-Proceed Model, the Extended Parallel Process Model, the Risk Communication Model. In the research, it was found that private hospitals carry out similar communication studies during the epidemic process.
