Event History Analysis is a group of statistical methods that deals with the duration of the occurrence of events such as births, deaths, divorves, marriages, retentions, recurrence of a disease, failure of equipments, etc. Nonparametric, semi-parametric and parametric models different than classical statistical methods are used in the concept of event history analysis. Although, the event history analysis has widespread applications on health sciences, there are applications on educational sciences. Time to leave school or graducation for students, time of the teachers working in their schools. In this study, the methods of event history analysis is explained and several approaches in educational sciences and new developments are discussed.
