Buhûrîzâde Mustafa Itrî, who is considered the peak of the classical school in Turkish Music, is the most important composer of the 17th century. His school influenced all the composers who succeeded him, and he played a great role in shaping the repertoire in terms of composition technique and diversity not only in his period but also in the following periods. This study presents an examination of how the lyrics of 6 works in Itrî's A??r Semâi form constitute a distribution in terms of the arûz-usûl relationship. Turkish music is mostly considered as vocal music. Therefore, the usûl and arûz relationship is the most important element of composing. The arûz meter was determined for each usûl. The compositions were composed on this basis. Itri's works have high value in terms of melodic richness and the processing of the maqams. In addition, his compositions are demonstrative in terms of arûz-usûl relationship. For the examination, the first lines of the works were rewritten together with the notes, and the words were placed on the usûl and meter templates in syllables. Thus, the analysis of how Itrî used the arûz-usûl relationship from his works in the A??r Semâî form provided certain data concerning his composing technique.
