Childhood experiences have an important place for people's lives. At this point, the experiences of abuse and neglect are an important issue for the health of individuals. The aim of this study is to examine the tendecy levels of individuals to childhood trauma according to gender. In this context, a total of 200 people, 127 of whom were women and 73 were men, with an average age of 26.37, were participated the study. A demographic information form and a questionnaire with Childhood Trauma Scale were applied to the participants. As a result of the analysis, there is any significant difference was found between the mean scores of abuse and neglect of men and women. Separation of mother and father was seen as a parameter affecting the scale's general score, physical and neglect scores. The average scores of the participants do not differ according to the use of any substance. As a result, the findings brought important and upto-date information to the literature in the understanding of childhood abuse and neglect stories.
