EXAMINATION OF SELF-EFFICACY LEVELS OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS STUDYING IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH INSTITUTIONS MANAGEMENT

The aim of this study is to determine the self-efficacy levels of undergraduate students studying in the department of Health Institutions Management. Target population of this study is all of the students studying in the department of Health Institutions Management in Afyon Kocatepe University Afyon Health Training School. The study is implemented by applying a survey to 316 students between November and December 2014. In data collection of the study, “Self-Efficacy Scale”, which was developed by Sherer et al. (1982) and whose reliability and validity studies were conducted by Gözüm and Aksayan (1999) after translating the scale into Turkish. According to the data, reliability coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) is calculated as .81 and the data is analyzed by using one-way ANOVA and independent samples T-test. According to the results of the study, the students’ average points of self-efficacy scale is 85.68±11.21.
