Scaring people is now widely used to get something. Nowadays fear marketing ads are being prepared on more nondurable consumer goods. Fear is a very effective way of motivating people. Using this, you can achieve good sales figures and earn good profits. Weapon Industry is a profitable industry because it is related to fear directly. In this study, the figures of fear of the Syrian Government during the years 2008-2015, as well as the light weapon and heavy weapon import figures, were examined. In addition, relations between Syria and largest arms exporter, Russia, have been explored. Every year, fear-raising incidents have been linked to the increase and decrease of arms imports. The extent to which the fear marketing affected the Syrian government's weapons purchasing stance and the factors that triggered the fear were explained.
