Financial literacy comprises of having information about financial themes as budget, insurance, savings, investment, credit, etc., giving correct decisions about financial issues and demonstrating correct financial behaviors. Rising international interest to improve the levels of financial awareness of individuals has increased the importance of financial literacy. Financial literacy is an issue which concerns all sections of society, thus also university students closely. The component parts of financial literacy can be discussed in the framework of financial knowledge, financial attitude and financial behavior. In this context, the main goal of this study is to examine the financial literacy which plays an important role for university students in a theoretical way and to investigate the financial knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of the students of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Nev?ehir Hac? Bekta? Veli University. Financial literacy level was attempted to determine by frequency – percentage distribution. The correlation between demographic characteristics and financial knowledge, financial attitude, financial behavior; and the correlation between the components of financial literacy were examined by chi-square independence test. From the results of the performed analysis, some of the main findings are that there is a correlation between financial attitudes and financial behaviors; and students show favorable behaviors and attitudes but their financial knowledge is not at desired levels.
