Abstract

Author(s): Hakan DEĞİRMENCİ

Cengiz Aytmatov is a great novelist, journalist, translator, diplomat and politician who introduced Turkish culture and literature to the world. Undoubtedly, it is one of the two great values of Kyrgyz Turks together with the Manas Epic. His works have been translated into dozens of languages and have been followed with interest by readers of all ages. Hakan ?enocak, on the other hand, is one of the most remarkable names of Turkish storytelling. ?enocak, who created a unique audience with his language and style in his fantastic stories, crowned his success in the life of the summer with the awards he received. Love has been one of the themes frequently written by both authors who work in different languages and geographies of the same language. The love we see in Aytmatov's Cemile and ?enocak's Naj stories is the “forbidden love” which is also frequently used in world literature. In our study, the reason and how the transcendent love begins in both stories, its results, the underlying psychological background and other factors will be analyzed in the context of individual and sociological processes.
