Mevlevi rituals, as one of the biggest forms of Turkish music, are musical pieces composed as vocal and instrumental accompaniments to the sacred dances during Mevlevi invocations. Four Mevlevi rituals, composed in different centuries, are first analysed in order to trace the characteristics of the certain makam structures in ritual settings; beste-i kadim dügâh ritual, çargâh ritual of Nayi Osman Dede (17th cent.), bestenigâr ritual of Bursal? Sad?k Efendi (18th cent.) and saba rituals of ?smail Dede (19th cent.). The data acquired at the end of the analyses are given as items and charts in the conclusion section.
