Fear has always existed, in spite of the different belief systems in different societies before the religions. On the grounds of fear and belief that these two phenomena complement each other in the context of cause-and-effect relationship, there are also opinions that there are collective social reactions on the basis of belief-based behaviors. From the point of view of the culture of nature, it can be said that curiosity and confusion in the face of natural events constitute the basis of fear and mystic power together with respect. In the natural process of natural events, we can say that fear has an important role in the feelings of the human being who couldn't make sense of the change of day and night. The beliefs that are thought to be superstition and superstition are continued by the public in order to avoid the fears and to avoid negative events. In any religious belief, regardless of the degree of development all over the world, the local beliefs of the people are still alive. Apart from folklore in which religion of religion is important, the disciplines of psychology, theology and sociology continue to be studied with different perspectives. In this study, the origin of fear, its impact on human life, its reasons from psycho-social and mythological point of view, and the role of folk beliefs in human life in the context of Turkish folk culture will be emphasized. First of all, the disciplines of fear, anxiety, belief and folk beliefs will be explained and the relationship between myth and fear will be discussed. The public practices which will occur as a result of the fear of land belief in human life will be emphasized. The relationship between fear and myth will be laid emphasis and it will be explained that fear is a myth.
